Lonnie Ayers

Lonnie was born in Marietta, Georgia, graduated from local public schools and attended Georgia Tech until duty called and he joined the Marine Corps.  He spent the 70's building and designing single family homes and small commercial and retail projects, and was involved in several real estate developments.

Lonnie moved to Southern California in 1981 and spent the next 10 years involved in Commercial and Residential Real Estate Projects in the Los Angeles, Beverly Hills and San Diego areas.  He was employed by Bear Stearns in Beverly Hills as their resident architectural designer and space planner for several years, and then opened his own architectural firm, Tri-Tech Design.  Along with his Tri-Tech design team, Lonnie designed over 70 real estate offices throughout California, and then obtained his real estate license in 1988 to help negotiate leases for the real estate offices he was designing.  When the demand for new real estate offices slowed in 1988, Lonnie began selling residential and commercial real estate in the exclusive Palos Verdes enclave and in other Southern California coastal areas.  Lonnie and his family moved back to his native Atlanta in 1992, where he has practiced real estate brokerage ever since.

Lonnie is the proud father of two beautiful daughters, Ashley and Amelia, and the grandfather of Aiden Hicks, born in July 2012.  He enjoys tennis, woodworking and Alpine Skiing.

Lonnie lives in the East Cobb section of Marietta, near Roswell, Alpharetta and Sandy Springs. In addition to his Associate Broker status with Atlanta Communities, Lonnie owns his own real estate company, Ayers Realty Group, LLC (ARG).  ARG is involved in commercial real estate and property management and real estate development.
